Skin Peels
IMPROVE YOUR COMPLEXION

Peels are a superior choice when looking to restore and rejuvenate the skin.

The great news is that peels have evolved over the past few years and are now better designed to benefit a diverse range of skin concerns and conditions such as:

  • Aging Skin
  • Fine Lines and Wrinkles
  • Acne Prone Skin
  • Hyper-Pigmentation and Melasma
  • Sun Damaged Skin
  • Rosacea prone skin

and more.

Supervised by physicians, our peels are specialized solutions that work deep beneath the surface of the skin to help combat problems like dilated pores, dark spots, acne and wrinkles.
TCA (Trichloroacetic acid)) has been used for many years to improve the appearance of skin. It is most commonly used for medium depth peeling, penetrating more deeply than the mildest AHA (alphahydroxy acid) peel formulas.

A TCA skin peel can smooth away fine lines and wrinkles and quickly eliminate colour irregularities evening skin tone and texture. It can lessen the appearance of mild acne and acne scarring and improve superficial scars. The skin appears noticeably smoother, softer, supple and more translucent.
Peel treatments are a superficial gentle technique unlike deeper more aggressive laser resurfacing procedures. These types of peels can provide smoother, brighter-looking skin and are more suited to people who don’t want the downtime to recover from a more aggressive peel.
Peels work by removing the top layer of dead skin cells revealing the smoother more youthful skin beneath. Exfoliation of the top layer is accompanied by penetration of the lower layers to stimulate collagen production.

Lactic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that works by breaking the protein bridges between the corneocytes, releasing them and reducing the thickness of the hyperkeratotic stratum corneum. It stimulates the production of new collagen. It has a natural moisturizing effect on the skin. It is suitable for sensitive and dry skin. Mesopeel 40% is recommended for correcting stage II signs of aging (expression lines and superficial wrinkles). It improves cases of couperosis and rosacea.

Salicylic acid is a beta hydroxy acid (BHA) with a powerful keratolytic, comedolytic, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effect. It dissolves the intercellular cement, reducing the adhesion of corneocytes and encouraging superficial skin restructuring without producing inflammatory infiltration. Mesopeel salicylic peels are suitable for all types of skins, particularly dry skins with a tendency to hyperkeratinisation and oily, acne prone, comedonegic and seborrheic skins. It is also recommended for areas of the body such as the arms, back, knees etc.

Glycolic Acid is one of the most commonly used alpha hydroxy acids in aesthetic medicine. It’s highly efficient for controlling and reactivating cell synthesis processes. It encourages cell regeneration and promotes glycosaminoglycans synthesis while increasing the level of hydration of the epidermis and reinforcing the skin’s natural barrier function. Suitable for all skin types

Mandelic acid is an AHA that works by breaking the protein bridges between the corneocytes, causing them to come loose. Stimulates collagen and encouraging the skin rejuvenation process
It’s suitable for all skin types, especially thick, oily, seborrheic skin. It’s reducing the size of pores and unifying skin tone

After a chemical peel the skin is more sensitive to sunlight for at least 6 to 8 weeks, it is therefore important to protect the new skin from strong sunlight with sun block.
